About Me
In 2013, Kat Roman became a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner. As a Certified Healing Touch practitioner, Kat uses her hands and sound healing to assist in balancing the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being of clients. Her degree is from F.I.T. in New York. Kat has worked as a junior ware fashion designer in the garment center. Kat has taken classes at The Art Students League and The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. She has certificates in Trauma Informed Yoga, Energy and Sound Healing, Tantric Meditation Teacher-L1, Healing with the Arts (University of Florida), Interactive Strategies for Engaging with Art (MOMA), A Life of Happiness and Fulfillment, Raindrop Technique Therapy using Young Living Oils, The Art of Mandala Making, Curanderismo, Shamanic Reiki Master, Shamanism (Soul Mending), Trauma Informed Yoga, and Off the Mat Facilitation Best Practices: How to hold space during this global crisis. Kat has worked and volunteered at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center, Victoria Mews and Oakland Rehab Center for the Memory Care residents.
Kat enjoys all forms of art, including the creation of Mandalas and takes pleasure in learning about Mandalas in all its forms and sharing her passion around the calm they provide. In the past, she's had the pleasure of facilitating for Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Class: Holistic Health With A Different Approach. Kat has teamed up to facilitate Mandala workshops for the Center for Spiritual Living Morristown, Essence of Self, Highland Yoga and has facilitated art and sound workshops for Community in Connection/Crisis where she uses art as a tool for connecting with each other, healing and as a meditative practice.
Using different mediums to express herself, she loves working with marker, watercolor, pencil, pastel, acrylic, clay, jewelry with semi precious and precious stones, sewing, decorating and gardening. Kat's jewelry and wares have been carried by, Blu Lotus in Montclair, Goddess in Eden in Verona and Live Fast in New York. Some of her Mandala creations are privately owned and her notecards are sold at Mayernik’s Kitchen in Pompton Plains. All the work that she creates are infused with love and light.
When she's not creating, she's meditating, practicing yoga and yoga nidra, playing her bowls, spending time in community, taking workshops, playing with stones, mixing herbal teas, making aromatherapy concoctions, playing in the dirt, and reading. Kat is a seed member of Hala Khouri’s, Radical WellBeing Community and is a member of Tracee Stanley’s, Empowered Life Circle. Two of her biggest loves are attending exhibits with her son and going to art shows with family.
